I've been practising yoga since I was fifteen years old. After studying history of art at university, I went to India to research a painting and, whilst I was there, visited an ashram in Kerala. It was a transformative experience and I felt as if I'd come home.
I did my yoga teacher training in 2011 in the spiritually-rooted, classical hatha tradition (Sivananda Vedanta). I then studied Vinyasa Flow and Qigong with Mimi Kuo Deemer (Triyoga, London) and completed my third teacher training with Meghan Currie in 2018 (Exquisite Metta~morphosis Vinyasa flow). My practice now draws from a combination of these expressive, flowing and artful disciplines, mixed with occasional sprinklings of cathartic release work that I find creates powerful shifts within the physical and energetic body.
My style is creative, playful, graceful and strong. Intelligent sequencing is inspired by connecting to nature, reducing stress, improving and brightening energy flow. I am passionate about making yoga a daily part of everyone's lives! I fit in my practice around my other responsibilities and I'd love to share with others how this can be done, it really does work wonders. We're all so busy that it barely seems possible to fit in ten minutes of mindful self-care. By learning the basics, you can assemble your own sequence to fit into your life in your way.
